String quintet, bass clarinet, and live electronics. The piece unfolds as a loop that never truly evolves, instead becoming increasingly distorted over time to represent the character’s cycle of non-decision and existential stagnation.
Coexisting soundscapes.
An exploration of the duality of desire through sound. The composition blends acoustic recordings of voices and piano processed with natural elements, organic synthesis, sonar and cetacean song. Through a more or less human-like vocal style, the music describes that fatal attraction to a 'light' (or sound) that promises elevation but leads to destruction.
